Skin Cosmetics- Good and also Bad For Some Of Us

Men and women, both use cosmetics. Women use more of color cosmetics that men don’t. But men use many after shave lotions, moisturizers, creams and lotions on their face. We all want to look good and young. Some of the ingredients may cause skin problems that may take a long time to disappear after treatment. Isn’t it better to know about them?

Skin Cosmetics And Allergies-

Skin cosmetics may cause two types of allergies - Irritant Contact Dermatitis or Allergic Contact dermatitis. With irritant contact dermatitis, the inflammation of the skin develops because of contact with any ingredient. Suppose you touch an alkali, you will damage your skin. That is irritant contact dermatitis. No cosmetic contains such harmful ingredients, but even a most neutral material such as water can cause it in many people if they are in touch with it for long. With allergic contact dermatitis, you get an allergic flare up as soon as you come in contact with an ingredient. Why you develop that allergy and your friends do not is not known. There is another issue here, that of phototoxic materials. You are all right if you apply something and don’t move out in the sun. As soon as you move out the material causes phototoxic reaction on the skin. Most of the pure and natural essential oils of the lime family cause that.

Skin Cosmetics- Which Of Them Should You Use?

Anytime you buy a cosmetic, read the label of ingredients carefully. If you know about any of them that may cause dermatitis in you, don’t use that product. Always perform a small test by sing a new product first on the wrist and watch for reactions for twenty-four hours. Always buy hypoallergenic and anti comedogenic products. Identify all those ingredients that you are worried about and avoid any product that contains them. Save yourself from skin inflammations and colored patches and blisters.
