Big, fat and ugly is the last thing one desires to be. But because of impulsive eating disorders, clinging
bad habits, no exercise and lifestyle choices; it is exactly what most people are turning out to be. However, in this process, it is futile to blame the burgeoning fast food chains, restaurants, cookie companies and wafer manufacturers for acting as a hurdle in the quest to lose weight. Because, while there are millions of overweight and obese people doing the rounds, there are also those groups of people who are in perfect shape and leading a healthy life.

Hence, the logical thing to do now is to find out what sets these two groups apart. And if this guess is right, the difference lies in the willingness to go that extra mile.

In today’s informative world, when everything can be accessed by the click of a button, it would be ridiculous to think that people do not know what to do and what not to do. On the contrary, people are spoilt for choices. There are thousands of websites, magazines and other communication tools that are overflowing with information on how to lose weight with the help of diet plans, exercise regimens and diet pills like Phentermine or Didrex. It is all there, but the problem is that while some take the information and use it, others just gaze and don’t do anything about it.

So, taking all this into perspective, the problem doesn’t seem to be the lack of information that is shouldering the obesity revolution, but rather the lack of determination and lethargy. Everything has
been laid out in front, sometime even over simplified and spoon fed. But despite of all these efforts, the
fight against obesity has failed miserably because the people are not willing to participate.

Therefore, at the end of it all, it looks as if people who are getting overweight and obese are a result of their own free will. And if truth be spoken, they know that. Unless and until that changes, nothing concrete is going to happen in the pursuit to losing weight.
