Many times in the NBA, the game is so close that it might go into overtime, or even come down to the final shot. When many people go to professional basketball games, the game is so boring that it’s what’s referred to as a blowout. This is when one team will be in the lead by numerous points, causing many to begin leaving the game, in disappointment and boredom. It’s not necessary for them to stay and see who’s going to win, because there will be no way for the losing team to catch up in the amount of time that is left. Why sit there and continue to watch their favorite team get the demolished?

On the other hand, there are the games that are real nail-biters. Several things can happen to make an NBA game especially exciting, but there is one that happens quite often. It’s when the score is really close, only a few points apart, yet it’s nearly over. This type of game will keep the crowd in the arena to watch the entire game, and when the game goes into overtime, this is when the crowd really gets into it. They will be on the edge of their seats, in anticipation of which team will end up winning. This is especially true if fans are watching their favorite pro basketball team play on their home court. This will usually cause the fan to remain until the bitter end, whether their team wins or loses. The excitement is what causes them to stay, even if it looks the opposing team may win.

The most exciting type of NBA game to watch is when there only a few moments remaining and the team is down by one point and the other team tries to prevent them from scoring. A lot of times, they do keep them from scoring, but sometimes they don’t, and to a lot of teams, this is very disheartening, to lose a game on a last second shot.

Professional basketball can be boring at times, but most of the time, it’s a very fun sport, especially when exciting surprises occur. Most true fans love all NBA games, and will support their favorite team, no matter what. This means that if their team is behind in a great deal of points and the game is nearly over, this type of person will stay until the game is over, just to show their support.
