Of course you want your wedding day to be something special and something that you and your loved ones will remember forever... but how? Are you worried about trying something that people might find to be too unconventional? The key is to not worry about what anyone else wants and just make you happy. Here are some ideas for creating the best and most interesting wedding that everyone who attends will always remember.

Keep in mind that nothing ever goes as planned. People will arrive late, the frosting on the cake will melt, and it will pour rain and your moonlight reception will be relocated to the hotel's lobby. The first thing you have to do if you want your wedding to be perfect is to accept this fact before your wedding even starts. Go into your wedding knowing it will be a disaster and no matter what happens, you'll still feel good.

Okay, so you know and accept that wine will be spilled on your dress and your nephew will dig his hands into the cake before you're able to cut it. To still make it enjoyable, you need to have plenty of things to do. If your cake is ruined, so what? You still have dinner and the money dance and the flower toss and all your presents to look forward to opening. Something's bound to go right.

So what to do? Trash your dress. That's right. Let it all go and have fun at your wedding. Pay a little extra money and hire a professional studio portrait photographer. After the wedding, plan a day to have a photo shoot where you'll literally trash your wedding dress. Your future daughter isn't going to want to wear it like you think. That's what "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" is for. Need more ideas? Check the internet. Search and browse for things that people have done on their weddings that turned out to be great. And you don't always have to incorporate them exactly as they are, be sure to attempt to try new things, too.

Start thinking about this before the wedding, too. Throw a bridesmaid's party, but do something different. Make it a masquerade; this is the time of your life! Stay up all night and watch movies. Pretend you're back in high school and play truth or dare.

You don't want it to end with your wedding. It has to continue with your honeymoon, too. Try doing something spontaneous instead of having a perfectly regimented and planned out trip. Forget about your job and the rent that's due. Carpe Diem!

Okay, so your wedding is over and your honeymoon was fun. What can you possibly do next? Keep going! Once you're in this mood, it will inevitably, eventually fade away. Every once in a while (maybe every anniversary) try to do something to remind you of the best time of your life. It doesn't necessarily have to be the same thing either; it's just to get you in the mood. Be totally spontaneous and your marriage is sure to work out for the rest of your life.
